Services for Air Carriers


- NAV Canada: NAV Canada is a private company that provides air navigation services, including the flight information for the Mont-Joli Airport. It operates from the control tower. It also provides radio communications for the Mont-Joli, Rimouski, Baie-Comeau and Gaspé airports, as well as for the Magdalen Islands Airport at night;

- Maintenance of the airport facilities (runways) in all seasons, seven days a week, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the winter and from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. the rest of the year;

- The airport may be kept open 24 hours a day upon request, in emergencies or for other exceptional cases;

- De-icing service provided by Exact Air Inc.;

- Baggage service provided by Transol and Petro-T;

- Fuel service available 24 hours a day, provided by Petro-T, with no additional fees during the airport’s business hours;

- 100LL fuel;

- Jet fuel refuelling available on site;

- Potable water service, electrical outlets for aircraft, aircraft picketing facilities;

- X-Ray baggage inspection for flights with connections in controlled airports, provided by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA), a government agency;

- Access to the terminal 7 days a week, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

- Access to the terminal 24 hours a day for the pilots’ lounge with weather computer, bathrooms and dining room;

- Fee structure that favours private planes of less than 4000 kg: no landing fees or terminal fees are required for these aircraft;

- Emergency services are provided by the city of Mont-Joli, which has an aircraft rescue firefighting vehicle (foam truck), which qualifies the Mont-Joli Airport to be designated an alternate airport.

- Waiting room in the terminal with a 70-place seating capacity;

- Dining area, with vending machines;

- Shared, fixed-fare taxi service available between Rimouski and Mont-Joli;

- Regular taxi service available for short distances (direct phone line ou direct service);

- Car rental service available on site, provided by National. Service desk open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week;

- Free shuttle service for the Gaspésiana Restaurant in Sainte-Flavie, with direct phone line or direct service, available round-trip depending on flight times;

- The airport management can be reached by telephone 24 hours a day, regardless of the airport's business hours;

- Parking lot for 200 vehicles a few steps from the terminal. Well lighted and safe. Parking fees: $4 per 24-hour period.
