
The Mont-Joli Airport has two bituminous concrete runways called 06-24 and 15-33.- Runway 06-24 is a non-precision runway open all year. Measuring 1524 metres by 454 metres, it is equipped with ODAL at the 06 threshold and PAPI at both ends. To assist electronic navigation, 06-24 is equipped with an Instrument Landing System localizer, omnidirectional radio beacon, and VOR/DME and VHF/DF distance-measuring equipment; - Runway 15-33 is a 1280-metre non-precision runway, with medium-intensity lighting with three intensity settings, and threshold and runway end identification lights. This runway is closed from December 1st to the beginning of April, depending on weather conditions; - The apron can accommodate parked planes, depending on how many days are needed and the size of the aircraft. Fees are charged for more than six hours parking time; - The 06-24 runway underwent major repairs in 2006-2007 at a cost of $6.5 million for paving, lighting, signage and the apron; - The airport has a large fleet of a variety of maintenance equipment in good working order, allowing rapid maintenance in all conditions; - NAV Canada has a team based in Mont-Joli to provide technical service and ensure the security and reliability of the air navigation equipment. |
